This baked apple Smoothie Bowl quickly cures any Christmas Blues and immediately lifts your mood on cold days. Or do think there is anything better than a warm, fragrant baked apple, fresh from the oven when it is cold and dark outside? No! Of course not. You know that I am a huge fan of elevating desserts or sweets to main dishes, so here is my culmination my breakfast smoothie week.
This is the last Smoothie Bowl of my breakfast smoothie series. Why did I start with that? These are my other favorite breakfast smoothie bowls: beetroot-banana smoothie, pear – cinnamon smoothie, chocolate smoothie, blackberry-coconut smoothie, raspberry-almond smoothie.
For this smoothie you will need:
2 small sweet apples
1 glass apple juice
2 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp grated hazelnuts
2 tbsp walnuts
1 tbsp coconut flakes
1 tbsp raisins
1 tsp honey
a pinch of cinnamon
Pour all the ingredients into your smoothie mixer and voilá – enjoy your breakfast dessert!
For the topping I have used ingredients that would truly be used to prepare baked apples, so walnuts, raisins, and coconut flakes. Are you looking for a real feast? Add some marzipan or roast some almond slices in butter. If this is not a proper Sunday worthy Smoothie Bowl, I do not know!
