Overnight Oats with Chia seeds and mixed Berries

You are thinking oats, pah. Who has enough time in the morning to prepare oats? I will be quite honest me neither. But I have the solution for your time problem: prepare your oats in the evening. Overnight Oats are no news on Instagram or Pinterest anymore, and yet I was for some reason quite long resistant to trying them out. I could not imagine that oats that soak in milk or water overnight taste the same as freshly cooked oatmeal. Well, they do not taste the same, but they taste just as good. In addition, you gain the luxury of a healthy breakfast and still having a relaxing morning. I admit overnight oats have revolutionized my morning.

For overnight oats with chia seeds and mixed berries you will need:

1 cup oats
1 teaspoon chia seeds
sliced almonds
honey or maple syrup
fresh fruits

In a bowl, combine the oats and chia seeds, add the milk and sweeten with maple syrup or honey as desired. Top the oats with sliced almonds, cover everything and place it in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning just add some fresh berries and enjoy. Absolutely delicious!

You can find chia seeds today in any conventional supermarket. Often they are located close to oats, flaxseed, etc..
