My Pole Inspiration

Sometimes we discover a Pole Dancer, whose Pole style, tricks, music selection, etc. appeal to us in a special way. We sense in her choreographies and combinations that we have the same Pole notion and that we set similar priorities.

As much as I adore all the huge Pole Stars in the sky, I cannot use most of their videos for my own training. I lack their strength, flexibility, experience and technique. So I am always looking out for someone who perhaps has a similar Pole level and whose tricks are more seizable for me. That is how I found my current gigantic Pole inspiration Nina Reed.

Nina’s Instagram Account lacks the obligatory mass of Handspring, Aysha or Iron-X videos. Instead, she posts videos with relatively simple, uncomplicated Pole combos that look charming and graceful. Nina laughs in all her videos and one can see her sheer joy of Pole Dancing. When I look at her videos, I feel encouraged to take it easy and enjoy Pole Dancing without any pressure.

I have been doing pole for five years. I love doing simple tricks on spinning pole, playing with different variations, and making everything flow together and look pretty, and my favorite part of pole is climbing! – Nina Reed

Who is your everyday Pole inspiration? Whose videos are you secretly watching until gets dark outside?

I have the great pleasure of knowing Nina and she is an inspiring person, not only for what she does but for her approach in life. She is never afraid to try new things, she also isn’t afraid to say no if it doesn’t feel right. She is fearless yet sane, takes risks but is rational and doesn’t take stupid ones. I adore Nina and want to be her when I grow up.
