I continue my sporty protein series with a fifth shake recipe. Again, I want to offer you an alternative to the usual fruity shakes. Are you ready for a chocolaty experience, which is still incredibly healthy?
This strong cocoa avocado shake strengthens you in three ways by its healthy ingredients: cocoa, avocado and banana.
I have added:
1 tablespoon cocoa
half an avocado
1 teaspoon honey
Protein powder (vanilla)
Avocado is a true super-fruit loaded with healthy vegetable fat and many nutrients.
The banana is full of vitamins and also provides you with easily digestible carbohydrates, which are quickly available as energy suppliers. Did you know, by the way, that the riper the banana is, the more sugar it contains? During its ripening process, the starch of the banana turns into sugar.
Natural, untreated cocoa is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, fiber and unsaturated fatty acids. Also, cocoa provides your body with lots of energy and is good for your cardiovascular system.
