This week …

Lovelies,

The weather in Berlin is getting finally sunny and warmer again, so my spirits are correspondingly high. I bought the first rhubarb and cannot wait to make something gooood out of it. I am looking forward to some gym workout, long stretching sessions, an evening with my friends, and good food – because more time to cook (not necessarily in that order). I am also reading Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald at the moment and hope to advance some pages this weekend (maybe in my parents’ garden?).

Would you try this milk?

Pea milk is the new thing on all food blogs. It is supposed to have as much protein as cow’s milk, but less sugar, more calcium, and omega-3 fatty acids. Sounds like a true miracle milk, but would you drink it?

My breakfast of the week:

More and more Quinoa breakfast recipes appear on the Internet, so I thought I will give it a try. As I do not eat cereals, breakfast (for me as a German) is still the biggest meal challenge. I came across this incredibly delicious recipe and tried it with some slight modifications.

This Quinoa Porridge keeps what it promises and is incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, the preparation took forever (about 35 minutes). The quinoa has to cook for a long time and because it is cooked in milk, you cannot really leave the stove. This, of course, is no comparison to the 3-minute preparation time for oat porridge. Too bad, but definitely worth trying it again over the weekend.

My favorite song of the week:

I went to see a German Pole Cup last weekend in Erfurt and got goosebumps watching Roxi Ziemann’s breathtaking choreography. I could not get her competition song out of my head for the whole week.
